Become a SECO-certified Threat Analyst (S-TA)

The Cyber Defence programme was developed by a team of SOC managers together with the creator of the SOC Maturity Model (SOC‑CMM), a framework widely used by cyber defence teams worldwide. The curriculum is built around the standards these experts set for their own teams and delivers a unique blend of essential concepts, the right defensive mindset, collaboration skills, and practical experience needed to excel in the role.

We offer the most comprehensive certification pathway for advancing your career. Our learning path supports your development from entry‑level SOC analyst to certified Threat Analyst (S‑TA). Earning the SECO S‑TA certification demonstrates advanced knowledge and hands‑on capability suited for senior, proactive defensive roles within a SOC or similar Tier 2 or Tier 3 teams.

Cyber defence certifications

Foundation: Associate SOC Analyst S-SA certification

Our foundation level certification is ideally suited for new and junior SOC analysts who want to become Tier 1 and 2 SOC analysts.  

Practitioner: Certified Threat Analyst S-TA certification

Our practitioner level certification is for Enterprise SOC Teams, Managed Service, MDR providers, SOC Analysts, MDR Analysts, Threat Analysts, Threat Content Developers, Security Consultants, Incident Responders, security engineers and architects, and red teamers going purple.
