Occupational Health & Safety Management Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course as per ISO 45001:2018
A full week course designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second-and third-party audits of Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018.
This IRCA Certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training course is designed to give delegates the knowledge and skills that is required to perform first, second and third-party audits of occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems against ISO 45001, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.
It meets the requirements of IRCA, Centre Registered Number A017892. The course comprises of a combination of role plays and practical activities to provide delegates with a full understanding of the health and safety audit process.
Objectives:
- Provide delegates the knowledge and skills required to conduct a full audit of an organisations Health & Safety Management system
- Explain the role & responsibilities of an auditor in planning, conducting, reporting and following up on a audit to ISO 45001
- Understand the application of risk-based thinking, leadership and process management
Prerequisites:
For successful completion of this course, it is expected that you have prior knowledge of the following management principles and concepts:
- The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle
- The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, measurement, review and continual improvement.
- OH&S management - the concepts of managing occupational health and safety through hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control and compliance with legal requirements and other requirements.
- Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 45001 and the commonly used OH&S management terms and definitions

This course is recommended for anyone who is planning to qualify as a lead auditor/auditor and perform internal/external audits of OHSMS in accordance with the ISO 45001 standard, including:
- Those involved in conducting 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits
- Managers responsible for audit teams
- Those wishing to apply for IRCA OHSMS grades
- New Lead Auditors for OH&S management systems
- Delegates may have attended Internal Auditor training in the past and wish to advance their knowledge and skills
