DNV GL is very pleased to announce the latest public release of the TickITplus Base Process Library (BPL) that now includes ISO 9001:2015.
This milestone release of the BPL gives organsiations that already have TickITplus certification, or who are considering it, a clear route to transition to ISO 9001:2015 at the same time. The TickITplus BPL is now mapped to the latest release of two critical ISO standards for the IT sector: ISO 9001:2015 for quality management and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 for information security management. The High Level Structure that harmonises these two standards is now fully reflected in the TickITplus BPL and makes integrated assessment and certification for quality and information security even more straightforward.
In an important step the scheme governing body, the International TickITplus Association, has made the TickITplus BPL freely available in the public domain. This is will drive further growth and uptake of the TickITplus scheme by organisations that wish to embrace best practice in the IT space. The TickITplus BPL version 1.2.0 can be downloaded below.
The popularity of the TickITplus scheme is built upon the clarity and focus of the processes in the TickITplus BPL. These bind and map generic requirements from the headline ISO standards to activities and practices that are immediately understandable in the IT world. There is even space for IT Service Management with direct mappings to the widely used ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 standard for IT services companies and to the influential PAS 754 specification for software trustworthiness.
