DNV GL UK sets up a new Enterprise Risk unit
Following a recent review of market demand, DNV GL has appointed Viken Chinien as its new Head of Enterprise Risk in the UK.
The unit is supporting a call from capital-intensive industries for an integrated approach to their strategic business improvement and transformation initiatives to meet operational, investment and regulatory challenges.
It brings together the highly successful Transactions Advisory, real-time operational modelling, data analytics and asset, safety and business management consulting practices.
Viken Chinien, who heads the new Enterprise Risk Management Group, said: ”The energy sector is changing rapidly and DNV GL is at the forefront of technological developments to address the decarbonisation, digitalisation and decentralisation challenges that the industry faces. Our new structure leverages this technological leadership with our extensive operational management and commercial expertise to develop compelling solutions for our clients to optimise and futureproof their businesses.”
The unit will address challenges around cost-efficient asset management, regulatory compliance, and organisational governance focusing on loss of corporate knowledge, workforce upskilling and change management. These challenges require an integrated approach to maximise the benefits of the solutions.
Hari Vamadevan, Regional Manager, UK and West Africa, Oil & Gas, said: “We have a fantastic team of technical experts, management consultants and psychologists who will be working in collaboration to support our clients.
