CWA 15793 Laboratory Biorisk Management is the first internationally recognised management standard to specifically address hazards associated with microbiological laboratories at all containment levels.

CWA 15793 Laboratory Biorisk Management - Internal auditor course

The laboratory biorisk management standard is the first internationally recognised management standard to specifically address hazards associated with microbiological laboratories at all containment levels.

Biorisk assessment course

This two day course introduces risk management principles and approaches. It supports organisations looking to implement CWA 15793:2008 Laboratory Biorisk Management Standard. Participants will be exposed to a variety of risk assessment methodologies and approaches, with the opportunity to put them into practice a simulated risk assessment sessions. Software tools and practical supporting materials will also be demonstrated.

Biosecurity for biocontainment facilities

Although insider threat is a widely recognised source of risk, there is relatively little information available to managers in relation to how they should assess and manage personnel from a security perspective. Biosecurity for biocontainment facilities – Understanding the insider threat course builds upon work done in other areas, including the nuclear industry and the military.

Introduction to Singaporean biorisk management legislation

The course on Singaporean biorisk legislation allows biorisk professionals to have an understanding of the legislative requirements in Singapore related to biological work in laboratories.

Laboratory task risk assessment

Accidents can occur when carrying out simple, daily tasks within the laboratory. Workers can face many hazards on a daily basis from chemicals, radioactivity, physical hazards (eg, trips hazards, heavy objects), electricity, and of course biological agents themselves. Training in task risk assessment is an essential part of biosafety management in the laboratory.
