Course description
This course on sustainability reporting provides you with knowledge about sustainability reporting frameworks and its business benefits. We will also provide you with tools to report according to international standards.
Objective
• To increase understanding about sustainability reporting and to see why there is an increasing demand for it.
• To identify the business benefits of sustainability reporting and independent assurance
• To become familiar with the relevant frameworks of sustainability reporting and assurance.
• To acquire knowledge of the GRI framework and guidelines on reporting (incl. G3), so that you know how to report accordingly.
• To understand how verification of reports is conducted, and assess the value for your organisation.
• To become familiar with the assurance standard AA1000 and see how it can be of value to your organisation.
• To be aware of some of the challenges and opportunities that reporting may bring your organisation.
• To understand the process for verification according to DNV’s framework for report verification.
Pre-requisite
No prior knowledge is required, as this course is designed as an entry level understanding of sustainability reporting and the different frameworks for reporting and assurance.

• DNV’s Verification Protocol
• Course conclusion and personal action plan
This is a one day course and can be arranged for a minimum of four participants up to a maximum of 20 for one trainer. It can be held as an in house course upon request.
