DNV was involved in the development of ISO 26000, the new Guidance on Social Responsibility, which covers issues such as the environment, human rights, labour practices, fair operating practices and community development.

DNV can assist organisations benchmark their performance against the ISO 26000 guidelines, identify potential gaps in implementation of policies and procedures already in place, as well as develop a common language and culture around corporate responsibility within an organisation and its suppliers.
For organisations that are already market leaders in corporate responsibility, this process provides them with the confidence that they have covered all relevant issues as well as a means of communicating this externally.
