Applied Industrial Systems Ltd has become DNV’s first customer to be certified for TickITplus Foundation Level.

TickITplus has recently been introduced as the modern version of TickIT which was launched in 1993. The scheme is designed to suit all businesses in the IT industry from software developers to IT management and support. While the TickIT scheme gave a pass /fail grade, TickITplus focuses on improvement and process capability.
TickIT plus is a process model that covers a range of IT activities. Initially customers can achieve a Foundation Level certificate followed by Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels.
The scheme takes certification to a new level and those organisations willing to adopt it are demonstrating their commitment to IT excellence.
Dave Neal from AIS acknowledges the value of TickITplus, commenting "TickITplus demonstrates to our customers that we have moved beyond maintaining a quality standard to actively improving our processes."
Businesses already certified for TickIT only need a simple transition audit to obtain TickITplus. Businesses without TickIT will require a full initial assessment process to become certified for TickITplus.
