Annie Combelles, COO of DNV IT Risk Management
DNV acquires Q-Labs

Having partly owned Q-Labs since 1998, DNV has now fully acquired the company. Together with other recent acquisitions in software process improvement, Q-Labs is vital for the development of DNV’s new business area DNV IT Risk Management.

The acquisition of Q-Labs is part of DNV’s IT Risk Management’s growth strategy and follows a series of recent acquisitions:

  • London based Information Security and Safety specialist, Echelon
  • Utrecht based consulting and education company, CIBIT
  • Hamburg based IT Management company, Tireno

Together with DNV Management of Systems and Software these units will form the backbone of DNV’s new business area DNV IT Risk Management.

“Our new structure enables DNV to give high priority to the integrity and reliability of business and safety critical IT-systems and software,” says COO of DNV IT Risk Management Annie Combelles. “Adding Q-Labs’ proven IT competence to DNV’s risk management excellence and joining forces with other highly specialised consulting companies in the IT field enables us to continue our rapid growth strategy while maintaining a clear technology focus,” she continues.
