First and second Indian deepwater fields to DNV
DNV has been awarded the prestigious contract for the verification of the second deepwater field in India. With this new contract, DNV contributes to both the ongoing deepwater development projects in India.
This new Indian gas field covers an area of 7,500 km2, located outside Kakinada with water depths of between 400m and 2,700m. DNV’s scope covers providing services related to risk assessment and HAZOP studies, and the review and appraisal of design & engineering during the first part. In the second part, the tasks are inspection and certification. All the verification activities will be as per DNV’s Offshore Service Specification.
