Thierry has participated in improvement projects for several prominent corporations in the telecom, finance, medical and automotive business.
“The main challenges are to define simple and efficient methodologies, adapted to customers’ business goals,” Thierry explains. “Then we need to ensure that these new practices are adopted by the projects’ members and their management. In this job, human aspects are probably more important than technical ones."
A typical mission involves identification of strength and weaknesses in the organisation, which areas that needs improvement and eventual risks in the development process. The improvement projects must be planned and new processes, guidelines and tools must be defined. After changes are implemented the results are measured to ensure the desired effects.
Thierry likes working in an organisation with a declared purpose of safeguarding life, property and the environment and he appreciates DNV’s collaboration with the Red Cross in humanitarian projects.
