Quan has been working in the section Systematics and Ships in Operation Services since July 2005. Before moving to Norway to start in the head office in Oslo he worked mainly with ships in operation, newbuildings and plan approvals in DNV’s office in Shanghai, China.
"One of my top priorities when I moved to Oslo was to get familiar with the internal network,” says Quan. “DNV is an organisation with lots of resourceful persons from all over the world and to best utilise the internal knowledge and ensure efficient communication, you need to know how the system works.”
His daily tasks are to support surveyors and customer service managers within class systematics in addition to monitor the DNV fleet and follow up ships in urgent need for inspection.
Quan wants to make a difference with his skills. "I want to use my network and practical experience to create benefits for DNV in China and the organisation as a whole,” he states.
