“My key work tasks include machinery and vibration measurements, collecting oil samples and inspecting machinery according to our checklists,” Kjell Gunnar says.

He has just returned from a CAP machinery survey on an oil tanker that has brought crude oil from the Statfjord field in the North Sea for over 20 years.

Since his start in January, Kjell Gunnar has participated in several training sessions. He has been trained by a senior surveyor on two CAP Machinery projects, finished a CAP Machinery Course and also participated in the DNV Induction Training Programme. He is already looking forward to his next course; Safety Training for surveyors.

“My career ambition is to be familiar with CAP Machinery survey procedures in order to qualify for running projects. It is a huge advantage that DNV provides such extensive training opportunities to develop my area of expertise,” Kjell Gunnar concludes.
